Any help/suggestions on how to get the themed32.dll back would be really appreciated. That was a bit of a effort so thanks for reading. My guess is that either I still have a virus which is causing this error, or that the dll file was in fact changed somehow when the virus scans where performed. I've tried looking online for how to reinstall themed32.dll but can't find a website where i can get it from. Task manager runs eventually but again when I try to run any program, i get the error message, normally several times, before it runs. Even when I try to access the Task Menu using Ctrl, Alt, Delete, I get the error message(the message referring to taskmgr.exe in this case). As a result, my desktop and start menu/bar do not appear, just my wallpaper. This message would be in reference to several different processes, saying "Unable to locate component", with the message itself is the same.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem.". But the feckin google redirect problem is still there!Īfter rebooting after the final scan, i get several error messages saying "This application has failed to start because themed32.dll was not found. Several viruses/trojans/spyware were deleted, including the firefox error. I tried scanning my computer using Mbam, SAS, and my antivirus software, Bitdefender. I reinstalled it several times but with no luck. Another problem was that whenever i tried to run Firefox, I would get the error message saying Windows cannot find C:\Program files\.\firefox.exe. I've been trying to get rid of it for a while but nothing was working.
Once a month on the reg cleaning unless I install and uninstall software and I run it to remove any lingering files.Yesterday I was attempting to rid my laptop of the google redirect virus which is going round. All these programs are the free versions and I run them on a regular basis.once a week on all the temp cleaning and cache cleaning applications. Every once in a while I will run a rootkit application just to see if something got through. This is all that I have installed for my security of my computer. During installation you can opt out of installing the AV application.
The AV is good but I use AVIRA and am happy with it. it is now a combination suite with anti-virus protection. ****note*** I use only the firewall from comodo.
Winpatrol startup manager among other things as wellįirewall and AntiVirus Free Software Download from Comodo Free download.Ĭcleaner (for both registry cleaner and spyware cleaner) uncheck the yahoo toolbar option in the installation SpywareBlaster® | Prevent spyware and malware. Spywareblaster without the tea timer install all are free and I choose to run them on regular basis and perform updates as well. This is all that I use on my computer for security. In answering a previous post from you, I pointed out some of the rules for deciding what type of security you need to choose and go with it. You will have to google the programs and see what they say they are at the designer's website. Conflicts can still be an issue even if they are not running at the same time.
